THE LORD IS YOUR SHEPHERD (PART 1)

Psalms 23:1 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want.” 

When the Lord is your Shepherd and your best friend, you will always have more than enough. He will feed you, guide you, and protect you because he is always there for you.

The Scriptures say that we are His true children, and God released the Spirit of sonship into our hearts, moving us to cry out intimately, “My Father!" "My true father!” (Galatians 4:6)

You have not received the spirit of bondage to do religious duty, leading you back into fear of "never being good enough." But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as He rises up within you, your spirit joins Him in saying the words of tender affection, “Abba Father!” Romans 8:15

When Abraham required a lamb to sacrifice unto the Lord, the Lord Himself revealed to him as, “Jehovah Jireh,” that is, “the Lord will provide.” 

And Abraham called the name of that place “The Lord provides.” It is said to this day, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be seen and provision will be made.” Genesis 22:14

Therefore, remember that even before a need arises in your life, He has seen it and He will provide for you.

Because God is now your “Heavenly Father,” He made a covenant with you through Jesus Christ to provide you with everything you need.

Find your delight and true pleasure in the Lord, and He will give you what you desire the most. Psalms 37:4

The Lord wants us to enjoy fellowshipping and serving Him. Seek your happiness in the Lord by keeping company with Him. Then He will give you everything your heart really desires.
