BE GOOD STEWARDS OF FINANCES! (PART 1)

Our stewardship involves more than finances; it does include managing money. 

Remember, our money in some ways represents our life—including our time, talents, and paycheck.

For putting in our time, we earn money; for using our talents, we earn money as well. So in this way, our money represents our life.

The Bible teaches us that we should manage all our time, talents, and money for the glory of God!

When we give our money to God, we are giving our life to God. 

And when we give God a tithe—10% of our income, we acknowledge that God owns all of our money. 

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts;

Malachi 3:10-11

There are times we have money problems because we don't recognize that all our money belongs to God.

Maybe we are not putting God first with our money. 

Maybe we have been spending too much on things we think we need. 

As a result, we have money problems because we have not been good money managers.

Sometimes we have money problems because we have not tithed to God. 

He then withholds His full blessings from our lives, and that hurts us.
